Marisol Alston, LMSW
Licensed Master Social Worker
Marisol Alston is a Maryland Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) specializing in Mental Health and Wellness in order to improve mental and physical well-being of individuals across the lifespan. Mrs. Alston completed her Bachelor of Social Work at Indiana Wesleyan University. Shortly thereafter, she was accepted into the Master of Social Work Graduate program at the University of Southern California. During both undergraduate and graduate studies, Mrs. Alston received clinical training helping individuals with mental health, substance use disorders, eating disorders, grief, trauma, recovery, wellness and health promotion. She has experience providing services to Spanish speaking individuals in need of mental health and substance abuse treatment.
Mrs. Alston provides therapy in individual, family, couples, and group formats. Trained in psychodynamic, Dialectical Behavioral, cognitive behavioral, and strengths-based approaches to therapy, she customizes her interventions to the needs of her patients. Additionally, Mrs. Alston has received specific training in Military Clinical Social Work by the University of Southern California in order to better serve veterans and their families coping with the difficulties of the military lifestyle. Mrs. Alston seeks to empower individuals to find their own strength and realize their potential to live more fulfilling happy lives by creating a healthy therapeutic relationship that allows for growth and positive change.
