Juliana Swartout is a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) in the state of Maryland. Ms. Swartout began her education at Towson University where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Health Sciences. She continued her education at Salisbury University where she graduated with her Master of Social Work degree (MSW).
Her experience in behavioral health began working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), and their families. Through her experience she was able to develop necessary skills to support neurodivergent children and assist families with creating an accessible and supportive environment. Ms. Swartout continued to gain experience working with disabilities while interning with the Disability Resource Center at Salisbury University. Ms. Swartout acquired experience with how to increase accessibility while promoting social justice, equity, and inclusion. While working on her master’s degree, Ms. Swartout began her journey in psychotherapy working with an array of population and diagnoses.
Through her work she seeks to create a inclusive environment that seeks to uplift and empower the clients she works with. Ms. Swartout enjoys working with children, teens, and adults employing a trauma-informed approach to her work. She believes using person-centered humanistic style of therapy to approach each client by meeting them where they are and seeking to understand the whole scope of their world to provide the best level of care.
