Masters in Social Work Program
Kendall Zacker was born and raised in Maryland. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland. Ms. Zacker created a senior thesis titled “Fostering a Future: The Factors that Affect Youth in Higher Education” which outlined the need to raise the rates of academic succession among foster youth students in universities while also providing students with additional institutional resources.
After graduating, Ms. Zacker was admitted to Salisbury University’s Master of Social Work Program. In addition to her studies, she has experience working in an adult residential mental health program with a wide range of disorders including PTSD (and other trauma related disorders), borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, major depression, selective mutism, anxiety disorders, substance abuse/addiction, attachment disorders and others. Moreover, she has experience in working in childcare at daycares, summer camps, and as an Aupair in Australia. While Ms. Zacker has had experience with adults, she would like to expand her work with children and adolescents. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, hiking, and spending quality time with friends and family.
