Lakee’a Brown is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Board approved Social Worker Supervisor. Ms. Brown graduated from Delaware State University in 2001 with her Bachelors in Social Work and Howard University in 2005 with her Masters in Social Work with a focus in Mental Health. Throughout her career, she has worked in several community-based outpatient mental health clinics, serving a wide range of patients. Ms. Brown has over 15 years of clinical experience and she is passionate about working with children and adults to overcome stressors related to trauma, depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, stress management, relationship problems, self-esteem issues, and adjusting to life changes and transitions.
She is an empathetic and compassionate clinician. Her goal is to provide a comfortable, safe, therapeutic environment for you to take a load off and work through any challenges you may be facing in your life. She believes self-care is a very important part of your mental health and she will teach you how to focus on taking care of yourself throughout the process. Self-care is how you take your power back. “Be enough for yourself first, the rest of the world can wait”.
Ms. Brown’s therapeutic approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Expressive Therapy, Family Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Art Therapy and Strength-Based.
At the Clear View Counseling Center, Ms. Brown supervises and educates students, interns, and clinicians. She is not accepting any patients on her schedule.
