Mattie Conner attended the University of New Hampshire in Durham, New Hampshire, where she earned her bachelors degree (BSW) in the field of social work in 2022.  She is currently matriculating at the Louisiana State University Master of Social Work (MSW) program and anticipates graduating later this year.  In addition to her undergraduate and graduate education, Mattie has earned several advanced certifications and attended many post-graduate level clinical trainings in the areas of trauma, neurobiology of attachment, and child psychology.  Mattie earned her certification as a clinical trauma specialist at the Arizona Trauma Institute.

During her undergraduate studies, Mattie gained experience working at the Waypoint agency as a Rapid Rehousing intern in Rochester, NH.  There, she provided emotional and physical support to homeless and at-risk youth, assisted individuals in finding affordable housing, and provided a healthy support system to those in need.

In 2022, Mattie worked as a peer advocate at the Sexual Harassment and Rape Prevention Program (SHARPP) in Durham, NH. There, she worked directly with survivors of interpersonal violence providing support after their experiences of violence and provided emotional support, information and resources while staffing the 24/7 helpline.

After earning her BSW, Mattie worked as a teacher at Abintra Breakthrough Services, an applied behavioral analysis (ABA) agency and a developmentally driven daycare. At Bright Beginnings, the primary population was children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other behavioral disorders.

At the Clear View Counseling Center, Mattie works with individuals and families throughout the lifespan who are struggling with a myriad of stressors and diagnoses.  She has a particular interest in furthering her education and experience in trauma-informed care.
