Raisa A. Manejwala, Psy.D.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Manejwala is a licensed psychologist in the State of Maryland. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland. She also earned a Doctor of Psychology degree from La Salle University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she was trained in the cognitive-behavioral approach to treatment.
During her doctoral training, Dr. Manejwala worked in a variety of clinical settings providing individual and group psychotherapy for juvenile offenders, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy for child survivors of sexual abuse, and mindfulness-based cognitive therapy for university students. She also conducted cognitive and personality assessments for adults with learning, attention, and/or emotional concerns. Dr. Manejwala provided biofeedback therapy and relaxation training for adults at Jefferson Headache Center. During her pre-doctoral internship, she provided psychological services for adult sexual offenders. After earning her doctoral degree, Dr. Manejwala received formal training at University of Virginia’s Institute of Law, Psychiatry, and Public Policy in adult forensic evaluation. She then went on to complete a post-doctoral fellowship in forensic psychology at Central State Hospital in Petersburg, Virginia, where she conducted Competency to Stand Trial and Sanity at the Time of the Offense pre-trial evaluations. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Manejwala enjoys attending conferences on tailoring psychological treatment for different cultural and religious groups.
