Lisa is a Maryland Licensed Social Worker. She moved to Maryland from Upstate New York in 1998, where she earned a Master of Social Work from Syracuse University with a concentration on Child and Family therapy. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University at Buffalo. Lisa holds certifications in Life Coaching, Intimate Partner Violence Advocacy (IPVA), and with Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence (MNADV).
Throughout her clinical career, she provided individual and group therapy, as well as collaborated with families, educators, and other medical professionals to develop and implement therapeutic treatment plans. Lisa provides psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and families with a wide range of concerns such as anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, oppositional defiant disorder, OCD, ADHD, mood disorders, family relationship issues, school related concerns, and trauma survivors. She brings experience from a variety of clinical environments including group homes, school-based settings, and outpatient clinics.
Her practice draws from several different therapeutic modalities, including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), Psychodynamics, Interpersonal, Supportive, and Family Therapy, along with Art/Play/Creative Therapy with children.
Lisa is passionate about meeting patients where they are in their healing journey, and honors each person’s unique experiences, perspectives, and strengths. Lisa values creating a safe environment where patients feel comfortable and heard; a place where they can find the skills to identify day to day solutions with increased self-awareness, and confidence. She prioritizes partnering with her clients to explore solutions that feel meaningful and align with their individual needs and goals.
In her free time, Lisa enjoys being outside, trying new recipes, socializing with friends, spending time with her two grown children, and playing with her 5 pound baby dog, Mango.
