Veronica Musiol is a Maryland Licensed Master in Social Work. She is a dedicated and compassionate professional who entered the social work field to provide a more comprehensive and warm environment for those navigating mental health challenges.

Veronica earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2018. After graduation, she worked with high school students facing complex behavioral, mental, and developmental challenges, helping them successfully graduate. Veronica utilizes strength-based therapy to help clients work through trauma, anxiety, depression, and unhealthy patterns to reach optimal functioning. This experience inspired her to dedicate more time to the field, leading her to achieve a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2022.

During her master’s program, she interned with United Way for Central Maryland (UWCM). There, she led efforts in managing a certificate program for 63 adult participants, who were required to attend 36 training on various therapeutic methods. These included Cognitive Behavioral Processing (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Psychological Testing and Evaluation.

This internship prepared Veronica for her role with Catholic Charities’ school-based therapy program, Villa Maria. At Villa Maria, she developed new skills while working with a diverse population of adolescents and their families. She assessed and provided mental health diagnoses, defining treatment for youth and families dealing with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, ASD, ODD, and PTSD. Veronica excelled at curating individualized treatment modalities for clients with multiple diagnoses, each with unique therapeutic goals and objectives.

Veronica’s therapeutic philosophy is rooted in a holistic, integrative, and humanistic approach. She strongly emphasizes a client’s autonomy and personal growth, with a primary focus on helping individuals achieve their personal goals. By centering on a client’s existing strengths and offering an objective perspective to analyze behaviors and patterns, she skillfully nourishes motivation and commitment towards improved mental health. Veronica thoughtfully integrates various methods of healing and considers it an honor to provide supportive and nurturing care to others who are seeking greater happiness and increased productivity in their lives.
